Nuestro compromiso bautismal. El compromiso más serio en esta tierra es el que hacemos con Dios el día de nuestro bautismo. De ahí se derivan todos los demás compromisos. Es, por lo tanto, de suma importancia que conozcamos con claridad cuál es y en qué consiste este compromiso. Debemos preguntarnos: ¿A qué nos hemos comprometido al aceptar ser bautizados? Por lo pronto les diré que es un compromiso de por vida. Al final de la Cuaresma, precisamente en la noche de la Vigilia Pascual y en el Domingo de Resurrección todos los católicos del mundo renovaremos nuestro compromiso bautismal. Los invito a que aprovechemos la Cuaresma para prepararnos a ello de la mejor manera posible.

+++++Our Baptismal commitment. The baptismal commitment we make with God is the most serious one we make here on earth. Other commitments are derived from this baptismal commitment. It is therefore, of total importance that we know with clarity what it means and what it consists of. We must ask: What is the commitment of the acceptance of this sacrament? I should tell you that this is a life long commitment. At the end of Lent, precisely at the Easter Vigil Mass and on Easter Sunday all of us Catholics in the world will be asked to renew our baptismal commitment. I invite you to take advantage of this Lenten Season to prepare for this in the best manner possible.
